The vice chairman, led the establishment of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society of Ophthalmology and Orbital Surgery Group and the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association’s Ocular Tumor Professional Committee, and established my country’s largest orbital disease and ocular tumor medical education and research center. He is one of the main pioneers in this field in my country.
Professor Fan Xianqun led the team to develop new technologies for orbital surgery, pioneered the development of a new concept of “endoscopic navigation”, developed an endoscopic navigational operating system, created a new model of orbital surgery precision surgery, and overcome clinical problems; discovered new mechanisms for the pathogenesis of ocular malignant tumors and created surgical treatments The new model is to form a new comprehensive sequential treatment plan to improve the eye-protection rate and survival rate of ocular malignant tumors. For his achievements and contributions in the field of orbital disease and ocular tumors, Fan Xianqun won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award twice, and was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Academy of Ophthalmology in 2015.
